IT@Sam has started upgrading campus PCs to Windows 7. Faculty PCs and most Lab and classroom PCs will be upgraded beginning May 14 and continuing through May 29. Staff offices will be scheduled after May 29. For a full schedule, please check the IT@Sam Newsletter.
Located in The Woodlands, the state-of-the-art Regional Crime Lab processes forensic evidence in criminal and civil cases for nearly 100 state and local law enforcement agencies from 10 counties. The lab functions largely to identify seized drugs and perform toxicology analysis, but it also investigates death casework for medical examiners and provides other analytical and testimonial services to clients. The facility employs 10 full-time personnel and provides internship opportunities for SHSU students.
