The College of Business Administration hosted its 30th Annual Academic Awards Ceremony on April 27, 2005 in the Ronald P. Mafrige Auditorium. Sixty-two scholarships and awards totaling nearly $60,000 were awarded to eighty of the best and brightest juniors and seniors within the College.

The ceremony was opened by Dr. R. Dean Lewis, dean of the College of Business Administration, and members of the College’s student ambassadors group served as official hosts and hostesses. Approximately 200 guests attended the event, which was planned and organized by a faculty committee chaired by Dr. Ron Earl of the Department of Management and Marketing and included a reception in the foyer held in honor of scholarship recipients and their families.

For more information about scholarships currently available from the College of Business Administration, visit the General Information page at www.shsu.edu/coba. All full-time business students who have completed 30 or more hours at Sam Houston State University and register for at least 12 hours during the semester in which the scholarship is in effect are eligible to apply. Application forms are available in the early spring and must be completed and returned with a resume and transcript by the end of February each year. All application packets are thoroughly reviewed by the College scholarship committee and scholarship recipients are selected by the end of March.
