Lodging/Food

Housing for courses at SHSU will be in the Bearkat Village(2401 Montgomery Rd, Huntsville, TX 77340)
You will need to supply the following:
- Linens for a twin bed (mattress size: 36" x 78")
- Pillows
- Blankets
- Towels
- Wastebaskets
- Cleaning supplies & toiletries
- Toilet paper
Laundry is available for free to residents of Bearkat Village, and students have access to campus wifi in the building using their student login credentials. Meals will be at the new General's Market dining facility on campus (2012 Ave J Huntsville, TX 77341)
Dallas
More specific information will be provided at a later date. Breakfast is included at the hotel; lunch and dinner in Dallas are not provided.
Parking
MA in Band Conducting students who bring a car to SHSU need to provide pertinent information (vehicle make, model, color, year, and license tag # & state) to Dr. Brian Gibbs (bxg012@shsu.edu) in the School of Music (SOM) so the vehicle can be registered with SHSU Parking and Transportation. Students who provide this information and pay by June 3 will be approved for parking at Bearkat Village, General’s Market, and for surface (not parking garage) parking at the Gaertner Performing Arts Center (GPAC). Students will receive parking at a reduced rate by paying for SHSU parking through the SOM Marketplace, where SHSU housing and meals are also paid.
