Orientation
Orientation is required for new part-time faculty in the College of Education beginning with the Fall 2012 semester and each semester thereafter. The orientation is highly encouraged for returning part-time faculty members, as well. If completing the orientation face-to face, a certificate of completion will be awarded, and the department will be notified of your attendance and completion of the orientation. This is a condition of employment for all new part-time faculty.
In the future, the Orientation will be virtual and available on the website. The inaugural orientation will be face-to-face and is scheduled for Friday, August 24, 2012 from 2:00 to 4:00 p.m. An invitation was sent electronically in July. If you did not receive the invitation and you are a new part-time faculty member, please contact Ms. Sherry Hirsch at edu_slh@shsu.edu to receive additional information.
