Updated Parking Information For Saturday

With severe weather in the forecast for Huntsville on Saturday night, the kickoff for the FCS Quarterfinal between Sam Houston and Colgate has been changed to 11 a.m.
Since this is an NCAA championship event, there will be no refunds issued for tickets that have already been purchased.
“Decisions of this type involved the university and athletic administration, the university police department, the NCAA, ESPN and both participating teams,” Sam Houston State Director of Athletics Bobby Williams said. “Due to the severity of the forecast, we made the best decision in the interest of participant and fan safety, graduation and other university events along with creating a championship game experience. I appreciate everyone involved in making this change, including Associate AD Greg Hinze in helping coordinate all the decision makers in the process.”
The change in game time has also created some changes for parking for the football game. Sam Houston State will be holding commencement ceremonies in Johnson Coliseum on Saturday as well.
The lower coliseum lot will not be available for football parking at any time on Saturday. Anyone who is holding a lower coliseum parking pass should go to the main west lot entrance where they will be directed on where to park.
Additional parking has been made available for the game by University Heights Baptist Church on Sycamore Drive. Also, the parking garage on campus, located on Ron Randleman Drive, will be open for no charge.
Guests should remember not to park in any of the privately owned apartment complex lots south of Bearkat Village for either graduation or football.
The West Lot adjacent to Bowers Stadium is reserved for Bearkat Champions suite holders and season chair back reserved ticket holders who have purchased playoff series packages. West Lot VIP parking passes, along with tickets, are ready for pickup now.
A special “will call” pickup window is open at the Bowers Stadium West Side Ticket Office from now through Thursday from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. and Friday from 8 a.m. to 7 p.m. Season ticket and premium seat holder parking passes must be picked up in advance in order to access the respective lots on game day.
The box office will open at 7 a.m. on Saturday for both sales and will call. However, only those with West Lot parking passes in hand will be able to access the lot. Patrons who arrive on Saturday without tickets or parking permits will not have “in and out” privileges to pick up these items.
The will call window will be exceptionally busy on game day, so fans are encouraged to pick up tickets in advance or be in line early in order to ensure that you will be in a seat in time for kickoff.
Bearkat Alley tailgate activities will begin at 9 a.m. Fans looking to access the designated general public parking lots should plan to enter the area through Bearkat Boulevard, because Bobby K. Marks could possibly be one-way travel only, depending on what time the graduation traffic is cleared.
