Service Project

New Student Orientation Programs is truly committed to the University motto, "The Measure of a Life is its Service."  In efforts to support the motto the Orientation Team invites all incoming students to participate in the annual nonperishable food drive.  Donations from the drive will be donated to a local shelter in the Huntsville Community.

The project is aimed at helping students start their service to the Huntsville community while bringing the incoming class together.  This summer New Student Orientation Programs challenges the incoming class to bring in 2,016 nonperishable food items in honor of their anticipated graduating year from Sam Houston State.  Items for the drive can be brought to Orientation Check-In.  The Orientation Team looks forward to your commitment this summer.
