A message from Director Cristan Shamburger

"Bearkat All Paws In had over 1300 students, faculty, and staff registered and over 700 participate. 

I'm incredibly proud of the work that SGA put into this event. The Bearkat All Paws In committee and fellow Senators spent hours upon hours in the office preparing registration forms, inputting volunteer data, and putting together volunteer packets. Because of them, the event started and ended on time and the registration process ran as smoothly as it could. 

I want to thank the students, faculty, and staff that participated in Saturday's event. Without them, the whole event would have been pointless. The success of Bearkat All Paws In is nothing without the volunteers needed to give us a presence in the Huntsville community.

I believe that this year's Bearkat All Paws In was the best we've had so far. I'm excited to start working with next year's Director and to see this event grow each and every year."

What is Bearkat All Paws In

Bearkat All Paws In is the largest volunteer initiative at Sam Houston State University. In 2012, Bearkat All Paws In, hosted by Student Government Association, brough in over 3400 hours of community service to the university and Huntsville community in just four hours.

For the first time, Bearkat All Paws In will also be hosted at The Woodlands Campus in addition to the main Huntsville campus.
