Research in the Hinze lab explores the biocatalytic activity of Baeyer-Villiger monooxygenases (BVMOs) with the aim to use the products toward the synthesis of bioactive compounds and diverse synthons. Students in the lab will develop various skills related to the areas of organic synthesis and chemical biology.
