Tri Keah Henry, President
Tri Keah Henry entered the Criminology and Criminal Justice Ph.D. program in the Fall of 2015, after receiving a Masters of Arts in Criminal Justice the previous spring from Sam Houston State University. Before beginning graduate work, Tri Keah received a Bachelor of Art degree from Baylor University in Psychology, with minors in Criminal Justice and English (2013). Her current research interests include procedural justice in policing and racial disparities in the criminal justice system.
Amanda Goodson, Vice President
Amanda Goodson entered the criminal justice Ph.D. program in the fall of 2015. Before entering the Ph.D. program, Amanda attended Boise State University where she earned a Bachelor of Science in Criminal Justice and Psychology with a minor in Addiction Studies (2013), a Master of Science in Criminal Justice (2015), and a Graduate Certificate in Victim Studies (2015). Her primary research interests pertain to victimology, specifically violence against women and gender issues in the criminal justice system.
Amber Griffin, Treasurer
Amber Griffin began the Ph.D. program in Criminal Justice and Criminology in the Fall of 2016. Previously, Amber earned a Master of Science degree in Criminology and Criminal Justice at Arizona State University (2016) and a Bachelor of Art degree from the University of Wisconsin - La Crosse in English Literature and Sociology (2013). Her research interests include correctional decision-making, offender rehabilitation and reentry, and substance use treatment programs.
Alondra Garza, Secretary
Alondra D. Garza began the Masters program in Criminal Justice and Criminology at SHSU in August 2016. She previously earned her Bachelor of Science in Criminal Justice at Sam Houston State University graduating Cum Laude with Highest Honors. Her current research interests include victimology, violence against women, and gender and crime.
