Fred Pirkle Engineering Technology Center
The Fred Pirkle Engineering Center is an innovative learning center that houses state of the art classrooms, specialized laboratories, and faculty and staff offices for two departments (Agricultural Sciences and Engineering Technology) at Sam Houston State University. The center is named after the inventor and SHSU alumnus Mr. Fred Pirkle, who set aside $10 million out of his $25 million gift to SHSU to construct this learning facility. The Fred Pirkle Engineering Technology Center includes The Innovations Lab #100, Woodworking and Clean Manufacturing Lab #100B, Clean Manufacturing & Rapid Prototyping Labs #I00J, I00K, and I00L, Electronics, Power Systems, and Automation & Control Labs #140 and #142, Energy Systems and Power Lab #220, Wind Tunnel and Robotics Lab #220A, and two Computer Aided Design (CAD) Labs #240 and #242 with a Printing Room equipped with an HP Plotter (Access through #240 or #242).

The Harry L. Westmoreland Laboratory
The Harry L. Westmoreland Laboratory is the main lab facility in the Engineering Technology Department. The 11,000 square foot lab is divided into four separate labs: Clean Manufacturing, Woodworking, Metalworking, and Plastics. It also includes a classroom space with drafting tables and computers for over 30 students. Address: 2210 Ave. M, Huntsville, TX 77340.

Engineering Technology Annex B
Engineering Technology Annex B has a well-equipped concrete laboratory. Using hands on activities and testing equipment for evaluation, students develop a knowledge of concrete aggregates, Portland Cement Concrete (PCC), and various types of reinforcing methods used in the concrete industry. Engineering Technology and Mechanics Labs
Engineering Technology and Mechanics Labs in the Farrington Building. The Farrington Building is a short walk from the Fred Pirkle Engineering Technology Center and located here are labs #301 and #304.
