Dr. Zhou’s research interests lie in groundwater hydrogeology and interdisciplinary topics of geochemistry and sedimentology. In particular, he is interested in: 1) fluid flow and mass transport in subsurface geological formations. He developed numerical and analytical models to simulate the transport of contaminant in the aquifers and fractures; 2) geothermal studies and heat transport in the fractured porous media; 3) tracer elements and isotopes transport in the deep-sea carbonate as they grow from aqueous solution. At SHSU, Dr. Zhou teaches: Geologic Hazards, Hydrogeology, and Environmental Geology.
