Microwave Cooking Recipes
The Department of Human Sciences’ MS Dietetics & Combined Dietetics Internship Program includes a clinical rotation week in the Sam Houston Food Pantry. Members of the 2019 student body worked with the College of Health Sciences to produce “Microwave Cooking Demonstrations” using ingredients found at the food pantry. Recipes are available at the Food Pantry during distribution days.
Heart-Healthy Recipes
SHSU Dietetic Interns are excited to partner with St. Luke’s The Woodlands and the American Heart Association to develop chef-curated heart-healthy cooking demonstrations. The chef cooking demonstrations include Grilled Chicken with veggies, Avocado-Chimichurri Steak with Grilled Asparagus, Coffee Rubbed grilled pork tenderloin with Avocado-Cilantro Slaw, Couscous Stuffed Acorn Squash, Poached Pears, Spinach Stuffed Baked Salmon with Black Beans and Rice, and Holiday Recipes.
