James Mobley
Bio
Dr. James Mobley has been teaching Epidemiology at Sam Houston State University since 2014. He teaches from his home in Portland, Texas.
His primary areas of professional activity are Family Medicine and Public Health. As medical advisor to Texas A&M Health South Texas Initiative, he has provided creative programs to reduce the incidence of diabetes, cancer and asthma in 27 South Texas Counties. As Health Authority for San Patricio County, he is one of the longest serving Health Authorities in the State of Texas (40 years). He is retired from the United States Army with the rank of Brigadier General. He also sponsored a medical careers club for local high school students for over 25 years.
