Bio

Lisa Chaddick, Ed.D., MPH earned her Doctor of Education in Higher Education Leadership from Sam Houston State University (SHSU) and holds a Master of Public Health from the University of Michigan. She has been a dedicated member of the SHSU community since 2011, serving in various roles including instructor, health educator for the Student Health Center, Bilingual Healthcare Studies program coordinator, and currently, internship coordinator for the Department of Public Health. As an alumna of SHSU, Dr. Chaddick is committed to helping her fellow Bearkats reach their next level of success in life, whether that be employment or graduate school.
Dr. Chaddick’s research interests include adult learning theory, challenge and support theory, and experiential learning, particularly in how they foster student growth and success. She is a member of both the national and Texas branches of the Cooperative Education and Internship Association and serves as the faculty advisor for Eta Sigma Gamma, the Honors Health organization. Dr. Chaddick is also an ally to LGBT students and students of color.
