David Brady, SHSU '88

 David Brady has over 20 years career in the Sport Marketing and Broadcasting business.  He currently is also the stadium voice (P.A. Announcer) of the Houston Texans and serves as play by play announcer for Rice University Baseball.  He also has hosted the Wayne Graham (Rice Baseball) Radio Show on 1560 AM KGOW.

His most recent full-time position in sports was with the Houston Texans as Director of Lone Star Sports and Entertainment, where he was responsible for securing and managing major events at Reliant Stadium. These included college football games, concerts, soccer matches, and other entertainment events. David oversaw several major events during this time at Reliant Stadium including the U.S. vs. Mexico soccer match, which generated the highest revenue of any soccer match in history.

David began his career in the Group and Season Ticket Sales Department of the Houston Rockets, followed by a position with the Houston Astros, before embarking on an eight year career as a sports broadcaster. His broadcast work included stops in California, Connecticut, Arizona, and Philadelphia. While his main focus was baseball play-by-play, he also served as the play-by-play voice of Yale University sports and he was also a television reporter for KOLD (CBS affiliate) in Tucson.

David also serves as President of the Board of Directors of the Channelview ISD Foundation. He is also a member of the Center for Houston's Future Think Tank and has served on the Board of Directors or Committee for: The Texas Bowl, NCAA Final Four Host Committee, Gold Cup Host Committee, and the Greater Houston YMCA.

 David is a graduate of Channelview High School and Sam Houston State University.  David and his wife Annie have three children, Peter and twins Maggie and Jack. David is currently the Chief Marketing Officer and Vice President for Advancement with the Houston Zoo.
