Bio
Dr. Rachael Wilcox has been teaching in the Kinesiology Department at Sam Houston State University since 2009. In 2010, she completed a M.A. degree in Kinesiology, Sport Management and an Ed.D. in Higher Educational Leadership in 2018, both from Sam Houston State University. Prior to working in academia, Dr. Wilcox worked in a corporate setting within the financial services industry in Toronto, Canada for approximately 10 years. Her expertise is in portfolio management (managing P&L) and working on specialized projects; project experiences include mergers and integration, credit infrastructure, and implementation of loss mitigation strategies for credit products. With an administration and management background, Dr. Wilcox’s research emphasis is in areas of athletic administration with a focus on organizational behavior, culture, and leadership. Other areas of research include Title IX, gender, and ethnicity within athletic administration.
