Bio
My practice background is in the clinical areas of emergency and critical care for both pediatrics and adults. I have been a full-time faculty member for the associate degree level of nursing for almost a decade, serving as a faculty team leader. Now joining the SHSU’s SON working with baccalaureate nursing students. My passions are student engagement and success, including remediation for at-risk students and finding alternative learning modalities to support success in the classroom. My research background is in the areas of adaptive quizzing platforms and comprehensive predictive examinations.
I have three children, two teenagers and a toddler. My husband is a former executive chef turned financial analyst. In my free time, I enjoy reading, needlework, and spending time with family and friends.
