Bio
Marianne Moore Ph.D., RN, APRN, CNM has been a registered nurse for 38 years. Dr. Moore taught community health nursing and maternal-newborn nursing to baccalaureate and graduate-level nursing students in 3 states over the past 20 years. She has worked and taught in homes, hospitals, birth centers, and clinics. She has presented her research at state, regional, national, and international conferences, including the Sigma International Nursing Research Congress in 2019. She has 10 years of experience as an RN in labor and delivery, gynecology/women’s health, and nursery, and has been qualified as a certified nurse-midwife since 2004. Dr. Moore recently completed a 400-hour practicum at an out-of-hospital birth center that provides full-scope midwifery, and she works one day per week at the SHSU Physicians Clinic. Dr. Moore also has experience in cardiac nursing, oncology, pediatrics, and various community settings.
