Professor Marasco teaches broadcast journalism including broadcast writing and reporting, broadcast performance, and TV News Producing. Professor Marasco anchored and reported for nearly two decades, his latest stint as an evening anchor at WJHG-TV (NBC) in Panama City Beach, FL.
Research Interest, Recent Publications, Productions
Professor Marasco has won several broadcast journalism awards including most recently first place in 2020 for "Best Feature – Cultural/Historical" story from the Florida Association of Broadcast Journalists and first place for "Best Franchise/Series Reporting" in 2019, also from the Florida Association of Broadcast Journalists.
Education
Professor Marasco received his B.A. degree in journalism with an emphasis in broadcast from California State University, Fullerton, and his M.S. degree in journalism/mass communication from Iowa State University.
