Lieutenant Colonel (LTC) Mark A. Davis earned his commission as a Military Police Officer from the University of Toledo in December 2000. He is a graduate of the Military Police Officer Basic and Advanced Courses, Airborne School, Air Assault School, the British Army Royal Military Police Close Protection Course (Protective Services Detachment equivalent), the Foundation Instructor Facilitator Course, the Cadre and Faculty Development Course, and the Command and General Staff College.
Previous Key Developmental assignments include Military Police Platoon Leader, 4th Military Police Company, Fort Hood, TX (17 months) and OIF I, Bayji, Iraq (12 months). Infantry Company Commander, D CO, 3-187th IN REGT, 3rd Brigade, 101st Airborne Division (AASLT) for 3 months in Samarra, Iraq during OIF V and 12 months regenerating the unit to deploy once again from Fort Campbell, KY, S-3, 504th MP Battalion, Joint Base Lewis-McChord, WA (10 months) and Executive Officer, 42D MP BDE, Joint Base Lewis-McChord, WA (15 months),

LTC Davis currently serves as the Professor of Military Science at Sam Houston State University, Huntsville, TX. He will assume command of the Seattle Recruiting Battalion in July 2018.
LTC Davis earned his BS in Physical Therapy from the University of Toledo in December 2000 and his MA in Business and Organizational Security Management from Websters University in May 2012. He also recently completed a MA in Higher Education Administration through the University of Louisville in December 2017.
His awards and decorations include the Bronze Star Medal with 1 OLC, the Meritorious Service Medal with 3 OLC, the Army Commendation Medal with 3 OLC, the Army Achievement Medal with 2 OLC, the Iraq and Afghanistan Campaign Medals, the National Defense Service Medal, the Parachutist Badge, the Air Assault Badge, The German Armed Forces Efficiency Badge (Gold) and the Military Police Corps Order of the Marechaussee (Bronze).
He has been married to his high school sweetheart Amy, also from Sandusky, Ohio for 17 years and they have two children: Connor (15) and Jake (13).
