Call for Papers - Brian Gibbs

We are pleased to share this second edition of Praxis with you, and we are already planning the third edition!  Thus far, our editors have been inviting different authors to write articles; however, we are officially announcing a Call for Papers for all future editions, beginning with the third edition to be released in January, 2016. The Call for Papers is an open invitation for submissions of scholarly research papers related to the field music education you may have written or would like to write.  Articles may be about:

• Formal research you have conducted, involving new data collection and analysis
• A review of literature, summarizing the findings of multiple studies conducted by others and identifying trends or themes among the various sources
• A theoretical review, comparing and contrasting the ideas from leading theorists and identifying broad themes that emerge from your review
• Applied research, describing a method or technique, justifying its use over other methods, and citing published theory or recent research on the subject.

Please follow the Submissions link for detailed information about submitting a paper for consideration.  Our Editorial Board will carry out the peer-review process, determining which submissions will be published and recommending revisions prior to publication.  The Editorial Board will also provide concise written feedback for submissions that are not accepted for publication, offering suggestions for the authors.

We look forward to reviewing and publishing scholarly articles from our readers. We hope this opportunity will provide an avenue for colleagues to achieve professional recognition as a published author.
