Dr. Robert M. Maninger is an associate professor at SHSU, and received his Ed.D. in Curriculum and Instruction from the University of North Texas. Dr. Maninger teaches graduate and undergraduate courses in the Curriculum and Instruction department in the College of Education. He has been in academia for ten years after spending twenty years in the EC-12 schools. He taught math and history, plus he was an assistant principal or principal at every level EC-12. He has published over 50 scholarly works, and presented numerous conference papers. His writing/research interests include; technology integration, teacher morale and moonlighting, classroom management, and educational administration case studies. Also, just for fun, Dr. Maninger has authored many non-academic articles, two novels, and two non-fiction titles. He serves the university and community in many ways, but his favorite is as the “voice” of the Bearkat Marching Band. Dr. Maninger is also a SAM Center advisor for undergraduate education students. He is lucky to be married to his soulmate, Edie Wells, and also enjoys life as a father to Laura and Clay.
