Symphonic Band

The Symphonic Band has developed an exemplary reputation for its many distinguished performances. The members are selected from the finest musicians attending Sam Houston State University. Literature for the ensemble is drawn from the highest quality traditional and contemporary repertoire. The Symphonic Band pursues the highest professional standards, and is determined to bring its audiences the finest artistic repertoire from all musical periods, cultures, and styles.

Membership

Membership in the Symphonic Band is open to students of all majors by audition.

Auditions

Audition music and audition dates will be posted at the end of the Fall and Spring semesters and auditions will be held approximately two days prior to the first day of classes each semester (fall and spring). Information can be found on the ENSEMBLE AUDITION PAGE.
