Texas Supreme Court to Hold Arguments at SHSU
Date: March 2, 2017
Times: Oral arguments begin at 9:45am and 11:05am and last one hour.
Location: The hearings will be held in the Gaertner Performing Arts Center's Concert Hall.
Entry: The public is invited, however, seating is limited by space and time.
- All individuals entering the courtroom will be wanded and purses will be searched;
- Entry is limited by the number of seats available and the time it takes to wand/search in the line;
- Once oral arguments begin, no seating is permitted.
Prohibited Items:
- No backpacks will be permitted in the courtroom;
- Purses are permitted and will be searched, but large bags are not permitted;
- No cameras will be permitted; phones must be kept out of sight, with ringers off;
- Food and drinks are not permitted in the courtroom;
- Signs are not permitted.
People who disrupt the proceedings by speaking, making noise, displaying signs, or using tobacco/gum products will be escorted out by a bailiff.
