Refunds


Students have control of how they receive refunds from SHSU. Refunds may include but are not limited to: excess financial aid money, dropped class refunds, or Residence Housing deposits. Sam Houston State University delivers your refund with BankMobile Disbursements, a technology solution, powered by BMTX, Inc.

Students have two options for receipt of refunds: 

a. DEPOSIT TO AN EXISTING ACCOUNT  Money is transferred to an existing account the same business day BMTX, Inc. receives funds from your school. Typically, it takes one to two business days for the receiving bank to credit the money to your account.

b. DEPOSIT TO A BANKMOBILE VIBE ACCOUNT – If you open a BankMobile Vibe checking account (upon identity verification), money is deposited the same business day BMTX, Inc. receives funds from your school.
