How to Get Certification Pricing Authorization
Below is an overview of the three-phase SHSU Certification Pricing Authorization process, including Research, Approval, and Deployment.

Research
Program You Wish To Offer
Find a non-credit or continuing education course or certifcate that you would like to offer to students.
Gather Information
You will need to a primary contact, information about the program, the cost to the student, the proposed start date, anticipated student demand, and any other additional information that may be relevant.
Organizational Approval
The department head and dean should be informed and give approval for the proposed program.

Approval
Organizations must obtain initial review from the Provost and Senior Vice President for Academic Affairs for any new or existing certification programs that provide non-academic credit offered by SHSU. Additionally, Organizations must obtain authorization from the Chief Financial Officer and Senior Vice President for Operations to charge a program fee for the non-academic credit.
To obtain authorization, Organizations need to complete the Certification Authorization Form to receive approved pricing before advertising or offering the non-credit program.
Pricing authorization requests must be submitted a minimum of 30 days in advance of the date for which approval is sought.

Deployment
After receiving authorization and pricing guidance from the Division of Finance & Operations, you will work with the Division of Strategic Enrollment & Innovation and the Division of Academic Affairs to get your program up and running.
