Overview
The Graduate Computer Lab and Student Lounge are spaces that provide resources for research, exam review, presentation or project prep, career-oriented tasks, and general community. The lab and lounge are equipped with computer stations, basic school supplies, free printing and scanning, and comfortable workspace. Both spaces can also accommodate collaborative group sessions. The lab and lounge are in the Arleigh B. Templeton Building at the Huntsville campus.

Who is authorized to use the lab and lounge?
The lab and lounge are available to all currently enrolled graduate students, regardless of program, assignment, or project.

Are the lab and lounge reserved for those writing theses or dissertations?
The lab and lounge are not “just for writing.” Both spaces provide students calm and quiet settings to complete a range of tasks.

Do I have to schedule an appointment?
Appointments are not necessary currently.

Are supplies available?
Basic supplies are available (writing utensils, notepads, dry erase materials, printing, scanning, etc.).

May I bring my own computer and supplies?
Please feel free to bring your own supplies. Power outlets are provided for electronic charging.

Are there additional amenities?
The lab and lounge are equipped with large dry erase boards for individual and group collaboration. Supplies for resume and cover letter production, binding, and organizing are available. Noise canceling headphones are also available.

Can I receive writing, editing, and formatting assistance?
The lab and lounge simply serve as workspaces. For advanced writing needs, we encourage students to contact the Academic Success Center or the Newton Gresham Library on the main campus or the Woodlands Center.
