Paul Pearce

Paul Pearce is the recently-retired president and owner of Nova Biologicals Inc. in Conroe, Texas. Nova is a fully accredited laboratory that specializes in microbial testing and examines a variety of samples for microorganisms.
Pearce began his studies at Sam Houston State University, where he earned his bachelor’s degree in 1966. He then went to the University of Arkansas to earn his master’s in ’68 and the University of North Texas for his PhD in ’73. With these credentials, Pearce has been able to build up a prestigious career in biological studies and testing.
Throughout his career Pearce has taken on many roles, ranging from educator to advisor. He has taught at Baylor College of Medicine, Texas College of Osteopathic Medicine and the University of Houston. Thanks to the work he did in those settings and beyond, he has also received numerous certifications, appointments and accolades.
In 2015, Pearce was certified to practice as a testing and quality control solutions provider by the International Trade Council. He has also served as a mold assessment consultant with the Texas Department of Health Services and was appointed by former Texas Governor Rick Perry to the Texas Critical Infrastructure and Key Resource Protection Council. He was previously employed as the former president of the Clinical Laboratory Management Association of the Greater Houston Chapter.
Outside of the professional realm, Pearce makes use of his knowledge for causes close to his heart. He serves as an international trainer in water quality and as a board member for Living Water International, a religious organization that assists in providing communities with clean water. He has also served as a board member of the Conroe/Lake Conroe Chamber of Commerce. Pearce also gives back to his alma mater, SHSU, as a member of the alumni association.
Because of his extensive work as a laboratory director and consultant in the field of microbiology and pathology, Pearce was included in Marquis Who’s Who, a biographical source that chronicles the lives of innovators from various fields.
With all of his work, Pearce has embodied SHSU’s motto, “A Measure of a Life is its Service,” earning him the alumni association’s service award.
