The Department of Student Involvement: Leadership & Service, in accordance with Texas Education Code, Section 51.9361, provides mandatory annual risk management education for all registered student organizations at Sam Houston State University. This information is provided at the Student Organization Leadership Retreat (SOLR), which takes place in August before fall classes begin. A minimum of one member from each registered student organization must attend SOLR in its entirety for the organization to remain in good and active standing. Failure to attend SOLR will result in the organization's status changing from Active to Frozen. Click here to learn more about SOLR.
