Sam Houston State University’s office of Career Services will host the “What’s Your Story?” event, Nov. 5-7 to promote National Career Development Month and career awareness.
The event will feature four separate panels representing specific career fields - education, S.T.E.M (science, technology, engineering and math), criminal justice and business.
Students will be able to hear the panelists’ professional stories and they will also have the opportunity to visit with the speakers individually. Each session will be lead by students in Priority One, a student public relations firm in the department of Mass Communication.
“The main goal of the event is for students to hear the panelists’ unique career journey or story and in the process gain information about possible career fields of interest to them,” Career Services Director, Pam Laughlin said.
The sessions are free and open to all students.
