Sam Houston State University’s Public Relations Student Society of America chapter will host its annual Living Expo, a one-stop-shop for students looking for their next housing option, on Tuesday, Feb. 27 from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. in the Lowman Student Center Ballroom.
The purpose of the Living Expo is to expose students to off-campus housing options within the Huntsville community and to speak directly to representatives of different apartment complexes around the city.
“The Living Expo gives students the ability to speak to a variety of different options all in one location instead of driving around Huntsville to each place,” said McQue Wilson, PRSSA’s director of chapter development.
Over a dozen housing representatives will be present at the event and will have information, promotional materials and giveaways at each booth.
“It’s a convenient opportunity,” Wilson said. “PRSSA is happy to bring an event like this to campus every year so that students are well informed of what their options are.”
The Student Money Management Center will also be at the event to help provide clarity to students who have questions or concerns about renting.
"Having the SMMC at the expo to talk with students who are hesitant about adding rent and utilities to their monthly budget or who just want to make sure they are making a smart financial decision will help in providing some peace-of-mind to those who are first-time renters," Wilson said.
The event is free and open to the public. For more information, contact Wilson at cxw032@shsu.edu
