ABC 13 News Anchor To Visit Campus

Taking place in the Dan Rather Communication Building in Studio A at 11:30 a.m. Mingling with the Media serves as a resource for guests to meet and learn about established figures within the world of media.
Rascon has worked for ABC 13 since 1998. Throughout his time at the Houston station he has reported on various worldwide conflicts, presidential elections and natural disasters. He has also produced and reported on several Special Reports and documentaries on multiple issues.
Before making Houston, Texas his home he served as a CBS News Correspondent from 1994 until 1998. During his time at CBS he traveled extensively reporting on a host of domestic and international issues.
Rascon has reported from more than 75 countries, five continents and nearly every state in the Union. Also, he has won 20 out of the 27 Emmy Awards he has been nominated for.
Mingling with the Media is free of charge and is open to the public for attendance. In addition, Priority One will host a drawing for door prizes. During the session Rascon will answer questions from SHSU students.
