Bearkat Like Me
Nov. 18, 2020

How are you “American Like Me”?
In the dedication page of this year’s SHSU Common Reader, “American Like Me: Reflections on Life Between Cultures”, editor America Ferrera describes that the purpose of the book is for “every child to seek, and find, reflections of your deep worth and truest value."
We asked Bearkats to describe their “American Like Me” stories and to reflect on their truest values in short video vignettes. See what they had to say.
What makes you a Bearkat?
