For centuries, African Americans have shaped our creative culture in the visual and performing arts. Not only have their contributions played an important role in our diverse history, they have helped pave the way for future creatives to professionally share their talents.
SHSU’s office of Career Services hopes to inspire students seeking artistic careers in their next episode of The Jobs Show, Feb. 25 at 3:30 p.m.
Six accomplished Black artists, working as musicians, dancers, actors, and writers will share with students how they are achieving in their fields and the challenges they faced to get there.
The following guests will be featured:
- Rayse Biggs Jazz Musician Recording Artist
- Noelle Price Dancer Choreographer
- Jamal Douglas Actor/Educator
- Judy Milner Dancer/Educator Choreographer
- Iman Milner Writer/Actress
- Duane Cochran Concert Pianist/Artistic Director/Dancer
The program will livestream on Zoom and online registration is required.
