CampusClearAppSam Houston State University students, faculty and staff can now perform a daily check on their health status before coming to campus using the free CampusClear app.

The self-screening mobile application is designed to support campus community members as they monitor their day-to-day health and respond to potential COVID-19 symptoms. CampusClear asks users to log in using their SHSU email address each day to log their health symptoms in the app.

“The app prompts all of us to consider how we are feeling and whether we may be experiencing any of the symptoms associated with COVID-19,” said Stephanie Knific, SHSU director of Marketing and Communications. “This is an important practice to adopt in the morning before we begin our daily activities. This discipline helps to protect the community, and helps each one of us, if we are symptomatic, to have immediate access to information on where to go to get help.”

Once users complete their self-assessment, the app instantly notifies them of whether or not they are clear to access SHSU’s campus and guides them to resources for support if they are not.

Campus community members can access the CampusClear app at campusclear.com or from the App Store or Google Play.
