Celebrate National HSI Week
Sept. 12, 2023
SHSU Media Contact: Mikah Boyd
Sam Houston State University became federally designated as a Hispanic Serving Institution (HSI) in 2022, formally recognizing its dedication to student success for all. The distinction has made SHSU eligible for additional grant funding to serve Hispanic students and allowed the university to be a part of a network with other HSIs even better.
The week of Sept. 11 is known as National Hispanic-Service Institutions Week, and Inclusion Initiatives has partnered with numerous divisions and departments to provide all students with an event-filled week.
