New to the contest this year is two divisions: amateur photographer and advanced photographer, with each division judged separately.

“The contest, which began in 2010, was set up as an amateur photography contest, but this year we wanted to change it up a bit to celebrate this milestone in 2024,” said Jude Routh, curator of exhibits.

The advanced photographer division criteria are as follows:

  • Photographer has a website or social media page promoting their photography, photography sales and/ or photography services, such as weddings or portraits.
  • Photographer watermarks their photos.

Cost is $5.00 per entry and there are no residency requirements to enter the contest. Each photo entry must have its own entry application. Photographs must be submitted as full 8”x10,” unmounted, unframed and with no border. No exceptions. Photos will not be accepted that have titles and names printed on the front of the image, and entries must be suitable for family viewing. Photographers may enter as many categories, as they like in their division, but no more than two (2) photos per category. There are no residency requirements to enter the contest.
