      • GPS directions to the physical address of the Testing Center can be misleading.

      From Houston:

      • Travel north on Interstate 45 North towards Dallas
      • Take exit 114 for FM 1374 & Montgomery Rd.
      • Continue north on the feeder road to the intersection of Montgomery Rd.
      • Turn right onto Montgomery Rd and travel approximately ONE mile to Sam Houston Ave. (Stay in the left lane as you approach the intersection).
      • Continue straight across Sam Houston Ave and travel to Bowers Blvd.
      • Turn left onto Bowers Blvd and travel to Bobby K. Marks Ave.
      • Continue straight across Bobby K. Marks Ave.
      • The parking garage is located on the right side after the Coliseum.
      • The Testing Center is in Academic Building IV, which is off the road on the right, past the Coliseum Parking Garage.

      From Dallas:

      • Travel south on Interstate 45 towards Houston.
      • Take Exit 116 for U.S. Hwy 30/11th St.
      • Travel south on the Fwy Service Rd/I-45 Frontage Rd to the intersection at Hwy 30.
      • Turn left onto Hwy 30/11th St. and continue towards downtown Huntsville to the intersection of 11th Street and Sam Houston Ave.
      • Turn right onto Sam Houston Ave and travel to Bearkat Blvd/16th St.
      • Turn left onto Bearkat Blvd and continue to Bobby K. Marks Ave.
      • Turn right onto Bobby K. Marks Ave and travel to Bowers Blvd.
      • Turn right onto Bowers Blvd.
      • The parking garage is located on the right side after the Coliseum.
      • The Testing Center is in Academic Building IV, which is off the road on the right, past the Coliseum Parking Garage.

      From Bryan/College Station:

      • Travel east on U.S. Hwy 30 to Huntsville.
      • Follow U.S. Hwy 30/11th St. to downtown Huntsville and the intersection of Sam Houston Ave.
      • Turn right onto Sam Houston Ave and travel to Bobby K. Marks Ave/16th St.
      • Turn left onto Bearkat Blvd and travel to Bobby K. Marks Ave.
      • Turn right onto Bobby K. Marks Ave and travel to Bowers Blvd.
      • Turn right onto Bowers Blvd.
      • The parking garage is located on the right side after the Coliseum.
      • The Testing Center is in Academic Building IV, which is off the road on the right, past the Coliseum Parking Garage.

      From Livingston:

      • Travel west on U.S. Hwy 190 to Huntsville
      • Follow U.S. Hwy 190 to downtown Huntsville to the intersection of Hwy 30/11th St. and Sam Houston Ave.
      • Take a left onto Sam Houston Ave and travel to Bearkat Blvd/16th St.
      • Turn left onto Bearkat Blvd and travel to Bobby K. Marks Ave.
      • Turn right onto Bobby K. Marks Ave and travel to Bowers Blvd.
      • Turn right onto Bowers Blvd.
      • The parking garage is located on the right side after the Coliseum.
      • The Testing Center is in Academic Building IV, which is off the road on the right, past the Coliseum Parking Garage.
    • PARKING
      • Please visit shsu.edu/parking for all parking information and visit the visitor page.
        • There are two parking lots and one parking garage with visitor spaces for parking within close range of the testing center.
    • TESTING INFORMATION
      • The only item permitted in the testing room is your ID
      • There is a locker provided to each testing candidate to store personal belongings.
      • The following personal items are not allowed in the testing room and must be stored in a locker or your vehicle.
        • Phone (must be powered off, cannot be on silent or vibrate)
        • Watch (if it is a smart watch it must be powered off)
        • Purses and Wallets
        • Keys
        • All Jewelry
        • Jackets
        • Hats
      • Items available to you in testing room
        • Pencil
        • Ear plugs
        • Scratch paper if allowed by testing sponsor

      Current Operations

      • HERE IS WHAT WE ARE DOING FOR YOU

        The following are the precautions we are taking to provide the safest and cleanest testing experience.

        • We are operating with limited testing hours to allow for increased cleaning
        • Plexiglass guards have been installed
        • Sanitation stations available before and after entering the testing center
        • To allow proper social distancing we are only using limited testing stations
        • Lockers and testing stations will be sanitized before and after each candidate
        • Any equipment used will be sanitized between each candidate
      • WHAT IS EXPECTED OF YOU
        • Stay at home if you are sick
        • Masks are voluntary while you take your exam
        • Wash and sanitize your hands frequently
        • Practice social distancing
