Texas Bankers Hall of Fame
Do you know a banking professional who has made a lasting impact on the industry? Now’s your opportunity to spotlight their achievements to the entire Texas banking industry. The Texas Bankers Hall of Fame is in search of nominations for its 2026 honorees—Texas bankers who have made valuable contributions to the Texas banking industry. Until October 31, nominations are open for next year’s inductees, who will be honored in April during the 2026 Texas Bankers Hall of Fame Gala in Huntsville.
“Bankers are often seen as the heartbeat of their local communities, working closely with families and businesses to fuel growth and create opportunities for all,” notes Jill Sharp Vaughan, chair of the Smith-Hutson Endowed Chair of Banking. “Their legacies run deep, built on years of hard work, positive influence and meaningful change. The Texas Bankers Hall of Fame is a time to come together to recognize and celebrate Texas banking leaders—not only for their dedication to our profession, but also for their unwavering service to their communities.”
Established in 2013, the Texas Bankers Hall of Fame, located on the campus of Sam Houston State University in Huntsville, honors up to five Texas bankers each year based on nominations from bankers around the state. Nominations for the 2026 honorees are open through October 31. Download the form to nominate a banker.
