-- Nahko Bear
Dr. Colton Krawietz is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Communication Studies at Sam Houston State University. He received his M.A. in Communication Studies, M.Ed. in Educational Psychology, and Ph.D. in Communication Studies at the University of Texas at Austin. Colton’s research interests broadly concern the extent to which family members avoid information from others. His research interests focus on how difficult communication can affect emotions and the quality and longevity of intimate relationships. Specifically, he examines how people in close relationships evade intense conversations, how their motivations influence their communication behaviors, and how their perceptions of and attributions about these talks can impact their psychological distress and desire to exit the relationship.
