Motor Vehicle Theft and Property Theft, 3/9/26

This notice is sent in compliance with the Jeanne Clery Campus Safety Act.

 The SHSU Police Department was dispatched at 8:00 AM on March 9, to a motor vehicle theft and ten burglaries of motor vehicles at the SHSU Residence Life Maintenance parking lot located at 1401 22nd St. Huntsville.  Suspects entered the parking lot by cutting the security fence. The motor vehicle stolen is described as a 2003 white Dodge Ram pickup truck (TX License Plate 847-385). The Dodge pickup displays SHSU markings on both doors, vehicle fleet number FH282, and has a utility rack mounted to the bed.  Miscellaneous hand and power tools were stolen from ten vehicles and two utility trailers. If you observe suspicious activity on campus, please contact the University Police Department at 936-294-1800 (non-emergency number) and report observations to a police dispatcher. If you have any information that may lead to the apprehension of the suspects in this incident please call SHSU Dispatch. 

 Crime Prevention Tip: Ensure all doors are locked. Do not leave property unsecure or unattended.
