Course Support
Educational Program Coordinators
The Educational Program Coordinators (EPC) provide direct support to Course Directors and Clerkship Directors in the development, delivery, and advancement of their courses and curricular experiences. In partnership with leadership, the EPCs ensure that medical students and faculty participating in the educational process receive resources, support, and training required to manage their curriculum.
Educational Program Coordinators work with faculty, staff, and students by:
- Creating and managing curricular experiences for students in collaboration with faculty. These experiences may include activities such as Team-Based Learning events, research poster presentation opportunities, and journal club didactic sessions.
- Developing tools, processes, and implementation logistics to support the delivery of curriculum in order to enhance the engagement of lectures.
- Supporting faculty with daily course maintenance required for medical student success tracking.
- Serving as a technology support liaison in developing and providing trainings in partnership with Academic Technology Integration for items such as classroom AV technology, learning management systems, and curriculum mapping software.
- Maintaining current knowledge on best practices and trends surrounding medical school curriculum delivery and the utilization of educational technologies.
