Steps To Apply

• If you are a first-time freshman, apply through Common App or ApplyTexas.
• For transfer, graduate, and international students, complete an application through ApplyTexas.
• Non-Refundable Application Fees:
  • Freshmen, Transfer, Graduate: $50
  • International: $90
• Fee Waiver Options:
  • Freshman: Qualify by submitting ACT/College Board Waiver or High School Counselor/Principal Letter.
  • Transfer: FAFSA Submission Summary Report for fee waiver requests.

All students must submit the following official transcripts:

• Freshmen: High school and college transcripts (if applicable) from all institutions attended.
• Transfer: Official college transcripts from all institutions attended.
• Homeschool Students: A notarized transcript.
• International Students: Ensure transcripts are evaluated and include a GPA on a U.S. 4.00 scale by NACES or SDR accredited services.
• Graduate Students: Transcripts required from all institutions attended.
• Veterans: Military transcripts and college transcripts (if applicable) from all institutions attended.

Freshmen students can submit SAT (SHSU School Code: 6643) or ACT (SHSU School Code 4162) scores, though they are optional.
