Computer Labs

IT@Sam has several computer labs across the SHSU campuses.  Each lab is equipped with Windows 10 workstations, DVD-RW drives, scanners, printers, USB ports and other peripheral items.  

After Hours Lab

Woodforest Bank Athletic Center Room 150 lab is available to any student with an active Bearkat One card. Swipe your active Bearkat One card to gain access to the lab during the following hours:

Nights: Monday-Thursday 4:30PM - 8:00AM

Weekends: Friday 4:30PM - Monday 8:00AM

Virtual Lab

IT offers a virtual computer lab 24 hours a day through the MyWorkspace application available on multiple platforms including Windows, Macintosh, iOS, and Android. The Virtual Computer Lab provides access to many of the University’s campus-wide software titles, including Adobe Creative Cloud, CASH, Microsoft Office Suite, SAP, and others. General Use Labs

General use computer labs are for students use at the scheduled open times. The general use labs are located in NGL 200 and TWC 315.  Limited web cams and Macintosh workstations are available in the general use computer labs.

CHSS 130 computer lab is available for student use at the scheduled open times unless reserved for an event/class.

No food is allowed, however, beverages in closed containers are acceptable to bring inside the lab.

We request that noise be kept to a minimum to allow for a quiet study environment.

There are special circumstances that will require lab hours to change, such as interim periods between semesters, University holidays, and inclement weather.
