SHSU myAccess VPN: Connecting
Once your access has been approved, you will be able to access software, systems and files on the SHSU network from any computer off-campus as long as there is an internet connection. Select the browser of your choice to view instruction on how to connect to MyAccess VPN.

Edge
To access your S:\ drive, T:\ drive and other campus software and resources from a machine that is not on the SHSU network, open a web browser (i.e. Edge, Safari, or Chrome), and go to http://myaccess.shsu.edu. Click Accept.
On the next screen, enter your SHSU username and password and select Logon.
You will be prompted to check for a Duo Push. If you do not receive a push or need to use another method to authenticate, select Other options.Note: If you do not have Duo push notifications set up, Duo will prompt to check the most secure option you have set up in Duo.
If you select Other options, the following options will display.
Once you authenticate, you will be prompted to trust the browser. Select Yes, trust browser.
Note: Yes, trust browser functions the same as Remember device for 30 days feature.
Your logon is now authenticated.
Once the logon in authenticated, select Click here to continue on the next screen.
An Endpoint Inspection dialogue inspection may appear. If so, select Download. When prompted select Run.
The following dialogue box will display, click Yes.A Security Alert will be displayed. Select Add this site to your Trusted Sites list, and always allow inspection from this site.
The browser will then display Checking for security software…
Once the browser is done checking for security software, a Remote Desktop Connection dialogue box may display. If so, select Connect.
Select the display of your choice and then select Open.
Your SHSU workstation desktop will now be displayed. -
Chrome

Select Allow on the following dialogue box.
Double click to the folder in the Downloads area to install.
If the following dialogue box, click Allow.
A Security Alert will be displayed. Select Always allow inspection from this site.
The browser may download an update.
In the next few dialogue boxes, select OK.
Select the display of your choice and then select Allow.
Microsoft Remote Desktop will request access to your microphone and camera. Select Continue, then select OK on the following dialogue boxes.
Select Add PC on the next screen.
In the Add PC dialogue box, enter your SHSU workstation Node name in the PC name area and select Add.
At the Secure Network Notice, select OK and you will be connected to the workstation.
