Outlook: Schedule a Meeting

Select Calendar from the Navigation Pane at the bottom of the Folder Pane.

The Home Tab will change to reflect options for the Calendar. From the Home Tab, select New Meeting
A new window will open up that looks like an e-mail.
- Enter the title of the meeting (what the meeting will be discussing)
- Enter who is being invited to the meeting
- Select Start and End date and time
- Enter meeting location or if it is a Zoom meeting, the location will already be included
- Review the suggested meeting times. If those invited to the meeting are SHSU faculty, staff or students and utilize their Outlook calendar, Outlook will review the calendars of those invited to the meeting for meeting time options
- Send the meeting invite
Note: The Suggested Times feature looks to the recipient's calendar for conflicts. If a recipient does not keep an up to date calendar with Outlook, this feature will display inaccurate information.
