OneDrive - Pause & Stop File Sync
When using the OneDrive Sync Client, files continuously synchronize between your local library and the cloud. Depending on the Internet connection, the synchronization process may need to pause to prevent data overages and competition for limited bandwidth.
To temporarily pause syncing, right click on the blue OneDrive clouds near the clock on the taskbar and select Pause syncing, then select the timeframe to pause…2, 8 or 24 hours. Once the time frame has ended, OneDrive will begin syncing files again.
Sometimes you may wish to stop synchronization all together.
To stop syncing, right click on the blue OneDrive clouds near the clock on the taskbar and select Settings, then select Stop sync.
OneDrive will indicate that the last synchronized version of the files/folders will remain on the computer, but the files will no longer be synchronized and the account will be unlinked from OneDrive. To confirm, select Unlink account.
