Superintendent, TEA Certification
Available: On Campus and Online
The Superintendent Certification is designed to prepare students for careers as school district superintendents in Texas. This course program is offered online, face-to-face or a hybrid of both online and classroom coursework. The coursework utilizes a study of instructional leadership theory and application, executive leadership skill development and application to school districts operation, as well as internship field experiences.
The cohort structure initiative is driven by five semesters of prescribed coursework, seminars, performance development activities, and internships. Strengths of the initiative are:
- a cohort of peer educational leaders;
- development of executive dispositions and skills;
- enduring and supportive relationships through life-long careers.
