Learn to analyze and communicate economic data with the MS in Applied Economics from SHSU.

The The Master of Science in Applied Economics (MSAE) degree program is designed to provide students with much-needed skills to be competitive in the future labor market.

The MSAE allows students to gain a solid foundation in economics, strongly focused on applied quantitative methods and data analysis. In a world increasingly reliant on big data and analytics, the demand for professionals equipped with these skills will continue to increase. The MSAE is a flexible online program set up to accommodate full-time students and working professionals. The MSAE can be completed in as little as one year for those taking a full class load (four classes per long semester and two classes in the summer) or two years or more for those who prefer a slower pace.
