Mini Engaging Exploration
What are Mini Engaging Explorations?
Mini-EEs are 2-hour-long faculty development opportunities throughout the semester with each focusing on a different topic pertinent to effective teaching practices. All full-time instructors regardless of position or rank are encouraged to apply. Faculty participants will receive a $100 stipend upon completion.
Upcoming Mini-EEs
- January 29th: SHSU Online Forum
- This workshop will have two parts. The first will be a town hall with SHSU online and IT to answer instructor questions. The second will be breakout sessions on particular topics of interest.
- February 13th: Active and Student-Centered Learning
- This workshop is a 2-hour long faculty development opportunity for those who are new to active learning and want more experience with incorporating practices in their classroom. All full-tile instructors regardless of position or rank are encouraged to apply.
- March 5th: Student Mentorship in Research
- This session will be focused on best practices and support for student mentorship in research.
- April 24th: Artificial Intelligence
- This session will focus on Artificial Intelligence and the best practices for conducting effective, ethical research with AI.
